Ways To Give / Be ready
Disaster preparedness

You can't wait until there's a fire to buy a fire truck.

The next disaster is coming. It's not a question of if, only when. Reboot Charity gets ready now, so when it hits, we fly instead of fundraise.

“Hurricanes don't send calendar invites.”

1. Stage it

Relief supplies, staged before the storm

When a storm is on the radar, store shelves empty out and runways get crowded. Supplies that are already gathered, packed, and staged can be loaded and flown the moment it's safe, instead of waiting on a shopping trip that can't happen.

Your gift helps Reboot Charity line up relief supplies ahead of time, so the first flight out isn't the first time anyone thought about what goes on it.

2. Fund it

Flight funds on hand, not on hold

Fuel, crews, and logistics cost money, and the bill shows up on day one. Since 2012, Reboot Charity has flown over 2,000 disaster relief flights, partnered with VPG (Volunteer Pilot Group), carrying first responders, volunteers, and supplies where they're needed.

Money in the bank before the storm means the planes go up when the need is greatest, not after a fundraising drive catches up.

“A plane we're still raising money for can't fly tomorrow.”

3. Fly it

The fire truck: a Cessna Caravan for the mission

The Cessna Caravan is a workhorse: it hauls real cargo and gets into short, rough strips that disaster zones tend to leave behind. Reboot Charity is raising funds to buy a used Caravan, about $2 million.

We need it before the next disaster, not after. Every dollar moves the fire truck closer to the firehouse.

Removed radios, GPS, autopilot components, and other avionics can be inspected, valued, and resold or reused to fund relief flights. Use the Avionics Donation Program for intake, valuation, and inventory.
